Recap from meeting last week...
There really wasn't any thing new that we talked about.
Projects for our town houses will be due at Sept meeting.
Helen became the artist of the month...which will be in the EveningTimes in Sept.
We did talk about who were the chairpersons of our various wings. Publicity is Helen & Kaye. Display has become James with help from Helen, Clara, Sandy, and Sara.
We also talked about the Crittenden Historical Landmark show. Our projects are either finished or almost finish and we are waiting on when to have them ready.
That’s really it. It was a very short meeting and program.
Phyllis Parmes has been named Artist of the month of July By the Delta Artists Society Membership..
Phyllis is an avid painter in both watercolor and oil and is a student of Clara Miller.
She enjoys painting each Monday night with a group of Delta Artist Society members. Her paintings are sold locally and in the Dallas Texas area.
Delta Artists Society is a non-profit organization composed of individuals joining together to encourage and interested in and and appreciation of the visual arts.
Phyllis paintings along with several members of the DAS can be seen at the West Memphis City Hall, Social Security Office, Sun Trust Bank (Marion, Veanos Restaurant, Chamber of Commerce and the Delta Arts window in the holiday Mall.
Works of different artist are shown at these locations each month. The annual DAS Members Art Show will be at the West Memphis Library in October.
